El 1935 Edmond Jab\u00e8s tenia vint-i-tres anys i, tret d\u2019un cercle molt redu\u00eft d\u2019artistes franc\u00f2fons d\u2019El Caire (la seva ciutat natal), no el coneixia ning\u00fa. I vet aqu\u00ed que aquell any, durant una estada a Par\u00eds, el segon va visitar el primer i li va demanar que valor\u00e9s, si us plau, el manuscrit que li duia. Jacob va citar amablement Jab\u00e8s l\u2019endem\u00e0, quan ja hauria llegit el text. L\u2019endem\u00e0 va arribar i Jab\u00e8s, tot nervi\u00f3s, es torna a presentar a can Jacob. \u00abL\u2019he llegit tot i ara l\u2019estripar\u00e9 perqu\u00e8 puguem parlar-ne amb m\u00e9s llibertat.\u00bb I efectivament: ris-ras. Jab\u00e8s amb prou feines se sap avenir que el seu manuscrit es trobi ara esquin\u00e7at a la paperera del costat de l\u2019escriptori. \u00ab\u00c9s excel\u00b7lent, per\u00f2 no ets tu. M\u2019imita, per\u00f2 el meu moment ja ha passat.\u00bb I durant m\u00e9s d\u2019una hora i mitja Jacob descabdella una lli\u00e7\u00f3 de poesia en qu\u00e8 es dedica sobretot a conscienciar Jab\u00e8s sobre la conveni\u00e8ncia de destruir els \u00eddols i d\u2019intentar ser ell mateix. I precisament aix\u00f2 \u00e9s el que Jab\u00e8s far\u00e0 la resta de la seva vida: cercar la seva pr\u00f2pia veu escoltant els mots i q\u00fcestionant l\u2019escriptura a trav\u00e9s de la qual construeix i desconstrueix la seva identitat.<\/p>\n<p>Max Jacob i Edmond Jab\u00e8s van mantenir una correspond\u00e8ncia intensa fins a la mort del primer al camp d\u2019internament de Drancy l\u2019any 1944.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El 1935 Max Jacob tenia cinquanta-nou anys i era un dels poetes m\u00e9s importants de Fran\u00e7a.
